Learning how to change your paradigm is so easy once you have a strong understanding of how one is created in the first place. Paradigms, or what I call conditioning on a subconscious level are formed by constant repetition of ideas to someone on an emotional level. Once the idea is repeated enough it ultimately because fixed in the subconscious mind.

Everything in life is created on a mental level first. Your outer world is nothing more than a pure manifestation of your inner world. All the bad luck, the negative experiences everything is because of YOUR thoughts, your emotional thoughts that you get involved in really is destroying your luck and good experiences. If you persistent in this state long enough you get in the HABIT of being negative and that is called a paradigm. 

Everyone wants to change their paradigms but always miss the above concept completely. If you want better results financially, or in relationships as I’m sure most people do, you have to learn how to be able to access your subconscious mind where the paradigm is currently.

Once you have done that repeatedly for 21 to 30 days straight that’s where the new programming takes place, and you begin to attract better circumstances to you effortlessly as you also take action towards your dreams. So Lets get started on the 7 Steps to take to get you reprogrammed for success on a subconscious level:

5 Steps On How To Change Your Paradigm:

1) Identify What You Want To Change Mentally:

If you are lacking in an area of your life that you are not satisfied with. This is a great place to realize that you have a paradigm that is not working in your favor. It was created through constant repetition of negative things around you, and what people have said to you. You then accepted these limitations on an emotional level, and went straight to your subconscious mind.

Write down a few areas that you want to change your life on a piece of paper.  If you don’t like your current state of income then write that down. Make a list of 5 to 10 things that are effecting you the most.

2) Turn The Negative To Positive Through Repetition:

With your list that you have created, you will now want to get another piece of paper, and write out the complete opposite in present tense of your negative paradigms. For example “I don’t make enough money in my life” to “I feel so grateful now that I easily make $500,000 every year doing what I love”.

As you are writing these out you want to say them out loud slowly and with feeling. Really feel the excitement of what it would be like to have that kind of income. As you are doing this you are accessing your subconscious mind in that moment.

It is through the constant repetition of writing these affirmations out every day a few times for 21 days that will really make the shift mentally for you. You will begin to see strange and amazing things happen to you that you will not be able to explain it. Just realize that it is your current state of mind on a subconscious level that is causing things to happen, and of course the Law Of Attraction.

3) Write Out Your Dream In The Present Tense:

Writing and imagining with emotion is so powerful to your subconscious mind. What you will want to do is go to a very quit place and get yourself totally relaxed by breathing in and out slowly for 1 minute.

Once you feel relaxed and things are quit, begin to write how you want your life to be. For example “I am so grateful now that I………..and fill in the blank. Write everything as though it is happening in your life now. As you do that you will really feel it, and will not want to stop writing. Write in detail as much as you can.

Then what you will want to do after your life story is complete is re-read it a few times out loud slowly and with feeling. This is also programming your mind to attract those circumstances to you through events and people.

You will want to read your story and affirmations once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and a few times at night before you go to bed. Remember that all of this needs to be done with the feeling that it is already happening in your life. That is the only way you will change your old paradigm.

Do this for 21 days straight. Don’t skip a day because that is how long it takes for the wiring in the brain to be changed. If you skip 1 day you will have to start over. Persistence is the key to having this work.

4) Understand Who You Are:

Do you really know who you are and what you are capable of? Most people don’t, I sure didn’t for the longest time until I reached my twenties. Understand this, you are the offspring of the Universe/God. I call it God, but you can call it whatever you want. Just know that you are made by this power, and in its image.

What that means to you is you are a Spiritual Being living in a physical body. You have no limits to your potential except those that are made by YOUR mind. You truly can do and be anything you want.

You need to understand your kinship with this great power, and realize that you are just as great as anyone else that is successful on this earth, and anyone who is listed in the great books of history. Anyone who as every achieved anything with astonishing results, understands that there is something special about them.

They know that they really can do anything they want through never ending persistence and never quitting on their dreams. If you can see your dream as fulfilled on the screen of your mind, that’s not violating any laws of the universe then you can do it.

5) Read Biographies Of Successful People:

Reading stories of successful people a few times a week, that you admire will help you to continue to believe in yourself and reprogram your paradigm. As you read stories about them on Wiki, always keep in mind that you are no different than them, except by their results.

They just learned how to take control of their mind and used it to their advantage very well. You too are as great as them at this moment. They have the same potential as you do now. Their expressing it through their new successful paradigm and their actions they are taking to provide useful service to humanity.

Conclusion:

Repetition of information emotionally is the number one key to reprogramming your mind for success. Be persistent in doing this, and you will not fail to see better results in your life as you take ACTION on your dreams.     those are great steps that most people can put in practice right away. Believing in oneself is very important,believing that we were placed on this Earth for a reason, a purpose and we have to keep an open mind to find that purpose. I really like it when you say that we are spiritual beings in a physical body,as I truly believe that. We all begin in the spiritual world to return to it.

      We don’t begin in a spiritual world, the complexity of our mentality is just easier explained as spiritual, cause we have so many subconcious processes going on we cant control. I believe that spirituality helps us with motivation and belief of ourselves; especially motivation through higher purpose. Expect for that I agree with everything.

    Great stuff. I definitely agree with this and this has worked in my own life to achieve much better results (and still working on it!). It’s a matter of being able to drive the new ways of thinking through repetition.

    But most people give up before they’ve given it enough time – or they weren’t consistent enough.

    Is the 21 days thing a hard and fast rule or can it take longer than this? I have heard this 21 days before – is there something scientific behind this amount of time?

      I’m glad you liked this Nate. Basically its 21 to 30 days as a rule of thumb. I usually would recommend 90 if you can because the more time the better. That’s what I have personally learned from Bob Proctor. The scientific part about this is basically stating, thats how long it takes to have the mind create new neuron pathways to fire from, once the new brain cells are created. We all think in pictures, so anytime you are visualizing something you are creating brain cells. The more you visualize and say affirmations out-loud those brain cells get stronger and stronger, to the point were the new paradigm or you so to speak, is made for success on a mental level.     I totally agree with getting connected to who you really are, as like you said we are spiritual beings having basically a human experience. We are given the answers if we ask and are true to ourselves. We just have to get ourselves to believe that we are capable to do anything we want.

    Great article, I have recently become a fan of Bob Proctor and am really getting into this paradigm thing and I feel that mine needs to be changed.

    The problem I have is I have a lot of sadness regarding a previous business failure that I can’t seem to shake, I am beginning to start a new business (and have started a couple before) but I always get to a certain point then give up (which wasn’t the person I was before the original failure).

    This sadness is stopping my mind from being clear and able to attract the vibrations, thoughts and ideas that I want in my life.

    Will this repeating the affirmations/gratitude statements daily work to solve my problem? Or do you think it’s something deeper than this?

      Glad you like the article Taylor. Bob Proctor is amazing. I GUARANTEE YOU that the the daily affirmations and gratitude will work wonders. Remember when you do it, do it with feeling. Thats the trick. You really have got to feel that your the greatest, after all you are the offspring of a power (God) that has no beginning and no end. Failure is only when we quit. Just because you failed at one business does not mean anything. It means your growing and getter better and better. It is only a TEMPORARY SET BACK. I would recommend reading chapter 9 in Think And Grow Rich on Persistence for 30 days. Don’t skip a day. That will help you overcome that feeling of sadness you are feeling.

      Last thing I would recommend is write out a story of your life in the present tense of how you want it to be. Write how much money you are making everyday and the cars you drive, the homes you own, the respect you get ect. Read that in the morning, in the afternoon, and right before you go to bed. The repetition of you doing that is also reprograming your mind quicker then you can imagine. That really works wonders for 100% of people. I hope this helps you out. Have fun doing this. Remember we were born with greatness, but we have been programmed to look at are results and then think from there. Disregard them and keep holding the image of your ultimate purpose in your life, and you will continue to move towards it.

        I am now saying the gratitude statements and repeating my goals with a lot of emotion in my voice and mind and it is definitely helping me to be happier and more relaxed which is great!

        I am also currently reading Think and Grow Rich so will re-read the chapter on Persistence when I get to it.

          I would make it in as much detail as possible so that if I were to read it, or anyone else, they would be able to get a picture in there mind of what you are describing. The main key is that as you read it you should be able to feel as though it is REAL. If you don’t really feel it in your life, then keep adding details until you do. It can be short or long, that is up to you. You will know when its the right length, by how you feel as you read it out loud to yourself.

          I’m glad to here that your feeling happier Aiden, thats proof that its working. Just make sure to go for 30 days or more, and don’t skip a day. Changing our paradigms take a bit of time, but with intense emotion with daily visualization, affirmations, and a work ethic towards your goal will fix it. Hopes this helps.

            Hey AJ,

            Just reading Bob’s book, “You were born rich”, fantastic book!

            One thing he says is “don’t force anything to happen”, what does he mean by that exactly?

            I am visualising, saying my affirmations and writing my goals daily all with great, happy, positive emotions but for some reason instead of working on my business (as I was before) I have lost all interest in this and am instead drawn to watching tv and reading his book.

            Would “don’t force it” mean that I should just continue to aimlessly watch tv until my image has been implanted in my subconscious and then I will automatically take action? Or do I need to actually force myself to work on my business and then build that into a habit and into momentum?

            Great Question, what he means is don’t force things to happen if they are not happening. So you can still be running your business but don’t be forcing your efforts. Its like a pushy salesman who has heard no 30 times from the customer and the customer has said they have no money 30 times, but he keeps asking and forcing the questions. When you start feeling tired or annoyed from the business efforts and you keep going thats forcing. You need to be feeling good and enjoying it. If your happy and time is flying by as your working then you know your not forcing. Anytime you feel the opposite of that, then its force. Hope this helps 🙂

    Also in a previous reply you mentioned to do the affirmations/visualisations etc for 30 days, what do I do after 30 days? Just stop doing them all together?

    Bob proctor said you can do it 30, 60 or up to 90 days if you can, but again, after that do I just go about life and not do the affirmations/visualisations anymore?

      Love this question. I would for sure keep doing it and have it just become a discipline everyday. Its just as important as eating. All your doing is attending your mind like you would a garden. If you stop taking care of it, weeds grow. Everyday we are bombarded with negativity from the media, people, newspapers, online. Doing this continually helps you to build a shield around your mind so to speak, and be protected from all the nay sayers, and quitters out there. You become unstoppable and will find that your feeling better all the time without so much effort on your part. (I still do my affirmations everyday, and will until I die) Cheers

        Appreciate the great reply!

        These questions are in reference to my prior 2 questions just so you can answer in one go lol.

        In regards to the “not pushing it” thing, I used to have a “to-do list”, but I kind of felt out of balance, what was I “to do”, this is understandable say if you’re writing a “to do list” for your business or for your job or something but mine was trying to cover too many areas so I came up with the idea to create areas of focus and allocate times to them, that seems to work a lot better and I feel less stressed, time does not fly while doing it though but I feel a lot happier.

        Another thing I have noticed is I get a lot of anxiety or stress when listening to guided meditations, does this mean that this isn’t for me and I shouldn’t use this on my journey?

        Also I get a lot of negative thoughts and feelings at my day job, (but rarely at home, perhaps at home my mind is completely occupied, at work it’s not so much) is this my “journey” telling me that this job isn’t part of my overall plan, that I should be working on my business or something else instead?

          Great questions, love em. So to sum everything up in a nutshell. If the mediations are causing those feelings I would not do them. You want to do things that feel good. Its ok if its not for you, Personally I would visualize instead of meditate, because its funner. Meditation is more for being at one with the Universe. Personally You can do that just by making a list of things your grateful for everyday. I would highly recommend replacing mediation with making a list of 5 things you are grateful for everyday on a notepad before you start the day. After that just take 5 minutes and visualize your successful life. Then go about your day afterwards and do the best you can at everything, without feeling stressed.

          If you feel that way about your job, its because you don’t love it. You want to do what you love. So I would say yes it probably means you should not be doing it. Although if that is your source of income right now, then simply stay there, feel gratitude at work, and do your best. Then when you are home work your heart out on your business, because that is where your freedom lies. Doing what you want when you want, because after all, you deserve the best and you won’t get there working for someone else and making them rich :). I believe this will do wonders for you. Its made a HUGE DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLES LIVES. Check it out.

    I am basically a student,so education is my priority at the moment.
    I failed to clear the entrance exam for the IITs which are the best technical institutes in India.The good thing is that I can reappear for the exam next year.

    I have li’ll confusion about paradigm shift.
    If we have some dream, and we are starting to visualize that dream using law of attraction…
    …then bob is saying that we need to change our paradigm also. So what paradigm we need to change? is it just ideal good habits we need to put in our mind ?? or the positive dream what we are want that paradigm we have to put in our mind ???

      Amazing question, look at your results in life in all areas, and where you are lacking is where your paradigm is. Once you find the weak areas, then start visualizing everyday until the results start getting better. Thats the trick to it. Keep seeing yourself as being successful on an emotional level, and you will be in time. Hope this helps you.

      Great question, do this and only this.

      WRITE OUT ON A SMALL CARD. I feel so grateful now that I have easily passed my bank exam, and that I am extremely smart in mathematics. I then want you to read this over and over and over throughout the day as many times as you can with FEELING. Minimum 100 times a day. Do this for 90 days, especially a few times right before bed. And you will change that belief of yours and see changes quickly. Also check out this program, it has really made a difference in peoples life in regards to their paradigms.

    Ecxellent advice from a psychological point of view, so of course this leads to deeper levels and naturally i can see how your brain and internal chemical releases relax the body. It naturally follows that electrochemical ballance would become more ballanced by nature within which in turn effects self…reactions to life, attitude, perspective.     I have a hard time accepting the practice of saying and writing affirmations in the present tense. If I write and say them as if I’m already in possession of them, before I actually am, I feel as though I’m lying. I believe that it works on an intellectual level, but I don’t know if I believe that it works on an emotional level. Maybe you could explain this a little bit. It just feels kind of like a lie to me.

      that is TOTALLY normal. Do it with feeling. Close your eyes and say them SLOWLY. See yourself in possession of your goal. Keep doing it, and soon your mind will accept it as truth. It takes a while to change the paradigm. But it WILL change.

    Great blog, I am sure like most of the people I went into a comfort zone. I am trying to build a company part-time while working full-time for someone else and I know that this is not going to work. I keep given justification that since I have time flexibility I am able to build a product but the fact is that now is the time to go full time.
    I know I can do it but I am at type B goal where I am doing calculation on how to run house without a monthly salary. I want to convert my annual pay to my monthly pay. I understand and believe the whole concept but still not able to jump in. I am just few days into the whole program. Please help!!

      Hi Saurabh

      Amazing post by the way. So what you are experience is called the TERROR BARRIER. Now what I recommend ( but follow your intuition ) is keep your job, NEVER get rid of your main stream of income until your 2nd stream of income is 100% solid. Even though it sucks its the smartest thing to do. 2nd, Right down what you WANT.

      Don’t worry about the how right now. Just right down what you want, know that it is 100% possible, and that you have all the potential to accomplish it. 3rd. Read it in the present tense until it is burned into your mind. Basically read it as often as you can throughout the day until you believe it.

      For example “I feel so grateful now that I easily make $20,000 a month” Read your statement over continually as you take ACTION towards your dream. Its going to be extremely uncomfortable during this change you are experiencing on a Subconscious Level. That is normal, just keep taking the action steps described above, and it will go away. I promise :).

      I would highly recommend getting this program, it has made a huge impact in many peoples lives because it works. It will solve your problem quicker then anything I know. Check it out.

Here is a great affirmation that I use everyday. “I have massive confidence in myself, to accomplish anything, because I understand who I am” Who are you?, you are a Spiritual being, a deathless soul living in a physical body. You have no limits and can accomplish anything that you want. The greatest part of you, you will never see because its unseen to the eye.     Goal: Earn in the six digits by 2018.
    Affirmation: I am so grateful that I now earn over 100,000$ per year.

      Yes read your goals everyday and affirmations. Once in the morning and once at night. If you have time do it at lunch as well, just to keep your mind focused. Your goal is excellent, now I recommend you 10X that goal like Grant Cardone has taught me.

      So make it $1 million. You will feel excited and scared as hell, because you have no idea how to do it. Don’t worry about the how you will attract the way. Just understand that you CAN do it, and you WILL do it because I believe in you. Imagine $1 million a year income, how would that income change your life, and how many people could you help who need it? 🙂

      You can use as many as you like. I use over 30 for all areas of my life, and I’m always adding more. If you find something your lacking in life, make an affirmation out of it. Thats why my list keeps getting bigger 🙂
