1) Have Specific Objectives:
When you set goals for any area of your life, including being more productive, it is much more beneficial to set small and specific targets. You inevitably have a long list of responsibilities that you have to take care of each day.
The best way to avoid becoming overwhelmed and avoid doing certain things is to recognize each task individually and have a specific goal in each area. Use brain power to achieve a goal by formulating a simple process for getting something completed.
2) Ensure Balance:
I’m not going to go on about this, but make sure you get enough ‘me time.’ I know it can be easier said than done. However even a few minutes can be enough to keep you sane! If you’ve followed the previous tip, you might have identified where you waste time and energy that could be better spent on a few minutes to reflect.
3) Set A Time Limit:
When you have blocked out certain activities and have formulated specific goals for each one, you should then set a time limit to complete them. Valuable in this area is to set a time limit to complete the task that is lesser than the amount of time you think it will take you to get it done. This will force you to work efficiently and constructively to reach your goal.
4) Avoid Multi-Tasking:
Productivity relies on your ability to focus entirely on the task at hand and get it done in a reasonable time. Productivity isn’t just about getting something done quickly, but completing it thoroughly and successfully. If you want to be productive at home and work, then stay on course with the task at hand for the time you allotted for it.

6) Do Things At Specific Times Of The Day:
All of us work differently and are more productive at different times of the day. To get things done advantageously, plan your day so that you complete different tasks when you know you’ll be more focused.
If it takes you significant time to get into the groove and you begin to have more energy after lunch, schedule less demanding and more menial tasks for the morning, and things that take more focus and attention for later in the day.
